20. Generally, a chartered appraiser shall act for only one party in any given case.
Where a chartered appraiser’s professional duties require him to act for more than one party, such as in the capacity of arbitrator or amiable compositeur, he must specify the nature of his duties or responsibilities to all parties concerned and inform them that he will cease to act if the situation becomes irreconcilable with his duty to remain independent.
